Facility
Maruwa (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. offers the very best to its employees. Like any other multinational, we have all necessary facilities and amenities in place for the convenience of our staff comfort, but comfort to the core.
Hostel
Hostel facility is only provided for foreign workers, and may be extended to local employees when necessary. Basic household items and utensils are provided. Employees should adhere to all the hostel rules. Medical services are available at the in-house clinic or the nearest panel clinic. Food is also served at the canteen. Transportation is provided to ferry workers to and from the workplace and for other company sanctioned activities.
Clinic
The in-house clinic operating hours on weekdays are from 8am to 5pm, except on Thursdays where it open until 6pm. On Saturdays, it is open until 12.30 pm. Doctors are present from 8.30am to 10am on weekdays, while on Thursdays, they can be consulted between 4.30pm and 6pm. In their absence, the clinic is run by qualified nurse(s). All medical emergencies/accidents occurring in the plant, should be immediately be reported to the clinic. All recruits or prospective employees must undergo a pre-employment medical check-up at the clinic before they are accepted for employment. Contract workers are allowed to facilitate the in-house clinic, but the cost will have to be borne by their respective suppliers.
Canteen
The company provides a canteen which serves halal Malaysian food. All food snacks and beverages are sold at controlled prices which are regularly reviewed by the canteen committee. Canteens are open on all working days.
Resource Center
The resource center is intended to provide information and research and development materials. The objective of the resource center is to encourage staffs to adopt a continuous learning and research culture. This is also to provide an avenue for employees to access to reading materials which includes training modules. The resource center is also equipped with internet facilities.
Transport
The company provides free transportation services to send the employees who are working on shifts from their workplace to their workplace to their hostels or designated pick up points.
Recreation Club
Recreation activities are planned, scheduled and executed by the Company Performance Monitoring Committee (CPMC). Following are the event activities that the CPMCs have organized in the past, and shall organize in the future.
Surau
The company also provides a surau for the Muslims to fulfill their religious obligations.
